Nun sollte niemand erwarten, hier fette One-Drop-Rhythms vorzufinden. Im Gegenteil, die Tracks sind astreine Minimal-Elektro-Plucker-Click-Dub-Soundscapes, deren Klang und Instrumentierung absolut gar nichts mit Reggae zu tun hat. Doch da ist diese merkwürdige Synkopierung der Beats, die auf sehr assoziative Art und Weise dann doch etwas mit Reggae zu tun hat. Kommen dann noch die stark an Tikiman erinnernden Reggae-Vocals von Ras Donovan hinzu, dann hat sich das Album seinen Platz in der Riddim fraglos verdient. Diese Herangehensweise an Reggae finde ich absolut erfrischend, spannend und auch richtig schön. [...] Hier, an den Grenzen des Genres passieren oft interessantere Dinge als in dessen Zentrum.
